Company History
The story begins nearly 50 years ago with future founder Dan Daniels and his dream to take art glass out of the studios and into people's homes. Dan first discovered the potential of glass while attending Michigan State University, but quickly realized there was no company willing to address the needs of beginners like himself. 1972 Dan, with the help of his brother Dennis and his wife Helene, founded Delphi to serve new-comers as well as more experienced crafters. From a handful of products sold in the family's garage, Delphi Glass now offers over 30,000 art supplies, and the country's largest selection of glass from its retail store, glass showroom and 45,000 square foot distribution center. In addition, Delphi offers an ongoing series of classes and workshops, including hosting top guest instructors. The Delphi Glass catalog features over 350 pages of products, supported by an even wider selection on its website, available for delivery to your doorstep worldwide. The site also includes an online community, instructional online videos and an Artist Gallery where customers can share their successes and be inspired by others.
Delphi Glass was the first company to make art glass accessible to everyone. Founded on the belief that creativity should be fun and rewarding, its simple vision has met with great success for over 40 years. Its slogan remains, "Delphi Makes It Easy."

Delphi's Arts in Education Program
Delphi's founder got his start by teaching art to students at the local university and community college. Since then it has been part of Delphi's mission to give back to schools. We return a percentage of our profits each year to benefit art glass educators around the country.
When you make a purchase at Delphi, you are helping to fund innovative glass art programs, like the one as Saint Peter's Home for Boys in Detroit, Michigan. Educators have found art to be instrumental in student development. "When the student artist learns their work is important, they learn they are important. When they feel important, they believe they can succeed in life."
Delphi also supports arts education with special discounts for K-12 schools, nonprofit organizations, and college art programs. If you know an art teacher who could benefit from the services Delphi provides ask them to contact Delphi's education department at 800-322-3336 or visitDelphiGlass.com/teach.
Delphi Recycles
If you have ordered from Delphi you may have noticed that only some of the boxes we use to ship look like official "Delphi" boxes. This is because we use overrun boxes whenever possible to keep your shipping and handling costs low and helps save natural resources. Delphi's Lansing shipping center is also a certified drop off location for other businesses that want to recycle plastic shipping "peanuts." Interested in recycling? Call 800-828-2214 for a "peanut" recycling center near you.

"I just wanted to comment on how helpful the staff at Delphi has been. I have gone from using two other businesses to relying solely on Delphi for all my stained glass supplies. Over the phone I talked with at least two of your representatives and they found the perfect glass for my latest projects, which wouldn't have turned out nearly as well without that glass."

For Our Classes and Events
"I decided to take a week of vacation and travel to Delphi to learn from the best. It was a nine hour drive but well worth the time investment. I spent 5 days learning everything from stained glass to glass fusing and bead making. I can definitely see a huge improvement in the quality of my workmanship and my friends and family have been astonished by the changes they have seen. The employees were extremely helpful and a joy to work with, and the store had a great selection of equipment, supplies and of course beautiful glass. It was a great way to spend my vacation and I would recommend Delphi to anyone."
- Tanya Warwick, M.D., Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN
"I just received your e-mail telling me I won the mosaic category in your contest. I am so excited!!! I am honored to have been chosen from such an exceptional group of entries. Thank you so much."
